Susan Katz, founder of KATZ Strategic Solutions, has more than 20 years' experience in marketing and sales information and analysis, strategic research and planning and market research design and execution.

Susan began her career at Vlasic Foods, Inc., where she was a Trade Promotion Analyst.  Using state-of-the-art data, technology and analysis, she made recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Vlasic's extensive trade promotion budget.

In 1990, Susan joined Information Resources, Inc., as an Account Executive working on the Kraft General Foods business.  During this time, she serviced both marketing and sales across twelve food categories.  She performed strategic marketing analyses and developed sales information for field sales and presented results on a regular basis.  After two years in Chicago, Susan moved to Cincinnati to join the Procter & Gamble account team with IRI.  She was promoted and managed several client service people on food, beverage and paper categories.  It was during this time that Susan was able to develop creative analytical techniques.

In 1995, Susan left IRI to join Van Melle USA, the makers of Mentos cand, as Marketing Information Manager.  Here Susan became an integral part of the Marketing team.  she provided marketing with information and insightful analysis that helped to business grow by double digits every year.  Susan was a vital part of a team that succeeded in implementing a new internal business system, SAP.  In 1997, she took on the management of the sales information department.  In addition, she became the strategic planner for the company and consulted with other Van Melle operating companies worldwide on marketing and sales analytical techniques.

In 1998, Susan decided to pursue her dream of forming her own consulting business.  She has an entrepreneurial spirit that runs in her family.  She differentiates herself from others in her field by believing that the client is the expert in his business and Susan's added value comes from providing the client with insightful information that can help them move their business forward.  She has worked in many different industries and her diversified experience is an asset to her clients.

Susan earned a B.B.A. in marketing from Western Michigian University.  She is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.
